School Trips to Plitvice Lakes National Park

Our schools usually stay in the fashionable resort of Opatija, sprawling along the coast between forested hills and the sparkling Adriatic.

All key sights in Croatia are easily accessible from Opatija.  A particular highlight is the Plitvice Lakes National Park with 16 crystalline lakes tumbling into each other via a series of waterfalls and cascades.  The mineral-rich waters carve through the rock, depositing tufa in continually changing formations. Clouds of butterflies drift above the 18km of wooden footbridges and pathways which snake around the edges and under and across the rumbling water.

All in all, an outstanding destination for a school trip!
