Overview
Head to the centre of the action in Australia’s busiest city. Watch as the landscape rolls from golden sands to bushland to dense rainforests, as quickly as a kookaburra can pass you by!
This itinerary will allow students to broaden their horizons, experience a new culture and discover environmental features and animals distinct from home! Students can explore iconic sites including Bondi Beach and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, experience a variety of interesting and interactive museums, and head into nature hiking through the beautiful Blue Mountains.

Day 1
Flight from UK to Sydney.

Day 2
Flight arrival in Sydney.
Get settled into your accommodation, located in the heart of Sydney Harbour.

Day 3
Have some time this morning to adjust to the new time zone!
Head to the Queen Victoria Building to explore the late 19th century architecture, with glorious stained-glass windows that are an iconic staple of Sydney.
Then, it's time to get acquainted with Aussie history and culture in the Australian Museum. Full of immersive and interactive exhibitions, this is a great way to find out more about Australia!
Next on the agenda is Hyde Park, Australia's oldest park, famed for its magnificent fig tree lined avenues.

Day 4
See if you can spot a cockatoo or two in the Royal Botanic Gardens. A beautiful combination of open space and dense rainforest-like areas, this harbourside haven is perfect for spotting city wildlife!
Grab a photo at the Sydney Opera House, perhaps one of the most iconic pieces of architecture in Australia, if not the world.
Then, head to the prettiest of harbours, Darling Harbour. This buzzing harbour is filled with eateries, shops and attractions- the perfect spot to pick up some lunch.
Now it is time to head back to the harbour and to The Rocks Discovery Museum, a unique collection of images and artefacts found in the Rocks- where Europeans first established a settlement. These exhibitions range from pre-colonisation through to today, exploring the impact of European settlement on Aboriginal people, as well as how sailors, whalers, and traders made The Rocks their home.
Before heading to dinner, take a group photo with the Sydney Harbour Bridge!

Day 5
Start your day with a guided tour of the SCG Museum and Allianz Stadium. Take a step back in time by discovering the history behind the Sydney Cricket Ground, Allianz Stadium and the SCG Museum.
Then it is time for a slice of Aussie culture, an AFL Match.
(If travelling outside of the AFL season, a sports fixture of your choice can be arranged instead.)

Day 6
It is now time to see Sydney from a new angle, head onto a Sydney Harbour Sightseeing Cruise!
Then, immerse yourself in culture at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, with a variety of contemporary, modern and Aboriginal art pieces displayed in a classical-style building, founded in 1871!
Afterwards, head up to the top of the Sydney Tower Eye, the best way to see Sydney Harbour and beyond is surely from the tallest structure in the city!
Optional evening activity: Hop over to Luna Park, Sydney's iconic amusement park located right next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
(Luna Park is open seasonally, an alternative evening activity can be suggested if travelling outside of opening times).

Day 7
Time for a beach day! Explore Bondi Beach on this Bondi Beach Highlights Bus Tour. From Backpackers' to Flat Rock, explore everything this iconic beach has to offer!
Have a lounge on the golden sands of Bondi Beach and enjoy the sunshine with beautiful ocean and cliff top views.
Then, walk around to Bronte Park, Sydney's oldest and most photogenic seaside spot! With communal BBQs available, why not bring some food with you and have a BBQ for dinner?

Day 8
It's time to escape into nature. Take a train to visit the stunning Blue Mountains. You can explore this World Heritage region on foot or by bus. Plus, you can explore more about Aboriginal culture by heading to Red Hands Cave, a cave with hand prints from between 500-1600 years ago.
Optional: You can opt to take a visit to Scenic World, home to the world's steepest railway and a skyway that transports you across the Jamison Valley, 270m above ground!

Day 9
Get up close and personal with Australia's intriguing variety of wildlife at Taronga Zoo. Home to over 4000 animals, this is your opportunity to get a photo with one of Australia's iconic animals from Koalas to Platypuses, even a snake!

Private coach journey to the airport.
Flight back to UK.

Arrive back in the UK.
