Nobody does it quite like the Viennese do. The variety of architectural styles blend perfectly along its narrow streets, with palaces and castles around every corner. Visit a variety of interesting and varied museums to get a taste of what drew Freud, Mozart and Beethoven to Vienna. Plus, experience a unique perspective of the city from soaring through the air in The Prater, to cruising along the Danube River.

You’ll be able to: visit one of the premier state opera buildings for an evening at the opera, visit various historic palaces and museums, and trial traditional Viennese cuisine.

Our Suggested Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Flight from UK to Vienna.

    Start your trip on a high, head to the theme park, The Prater. There’s a wide variety of attractions for the adrenaline junkies, as well as traditional rides such as Ferris wheels and carousels.

  2. Day 2

    Begin the day by watching the world-famous Spanish Riding School perform to classical music in the beautiful Hofsburg palace. It has traditional Viennese charm mixed with pure wonder.

    Then, head to Vienna’s Old Town to grab some souvenirs and some lunch! Admire the variety of architectural styles as you travel through the old town, you may even spot a baroque castle or two!

    While in this area, stop at St Stephen’s Cathedral, one of the most important Gothic structures in Austria, dating back to the 12th century.

    Next, take a trip to Mozart’s former house Mozart-Haus, now a premier attraction, it was here that he penned The Marriage of Figaro!

    Now, it is time to see the city from a whole new angle, with a cruise down the Danube River! Sit back, relax, and watch the views drift from the old town into the undisturbed mountainous views.  

  3. Day 3

    With halls filled with works by Europe’s finest painters, sculptors and artisans, Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna is sure to impress.

    Spend some time in the Museum Quarter, one of the largest districts for contemporary art and culture in the world. Stop off for a group photo opportunity outside the Hofburg Palace!

    Albertina is next on the agenda, grace the halls of the largest Habsburg residential palace which delicately blends imperial flair with art masterpieces. Plus, one of the most important print rooms in the world.

    Next, trial Viennese cuisine at a local restaurant with a 2-course meal included!

    Enjoy an evening at the opera inside the beautiful Vienna State Opera. The architecture is exceptional, as well as its artistic productions.

  4. Day 4

    This morning, you will have the opportunity to take part in a German-language class at the university Universität Wien Sprachzentrum, if you’d like. Followed by a guided tour of the university.

    Then visit Schönbrunn Palace, the beating heart of Viennese culture with its stunning palace with lovely gardens and fountains. You can opt for an Imperial Tour of the palace if you wish. End your visit by relaxing in the green open space with fountains and views for days.

  5. Day 5

    Your final day in Vienna begins with a visit to The Belvedere. This palace complex houses an amazing art collection amidst its Baroque architecture and formal French gardens. Keep an eye out for Klimt’s The Kiss.
