Overview
Along with fantastic cultural visits to iconic landmarks, Paris is home to a number of science museums that promote scientific curiosity in exciting, dynamic and challenging ways. Students will have the opportunity to see the workings of science in different contexts and how it impacts our daily lives and society through a number of diverse visits.
This itinerary combines some of Paris’ best-loved landmarks with exciting scientific visits to spark intellectual questioning. Visit the largest science museum in Europe and choose from many other exciting museums depending on your area of focus!
Our Suggested Itinerary
This itinerary is based on travelling by coach, but let us know if you would prefer to travel by Eurostar or by air.

Day 1
Depart school in the morning and travel to France.
Go for a cruise on the river Seine: the Bateaux Mouches will give you spectacular views of this iconic city from a different angle.
In the evening, take a stroll up the majestic Champs Elysées, leading you up to the Arc de Triomphe which lies at the end in Place Charles de Gaulle. The Arc sits on the middle of a roundabout, the centre of twelve off-shooting avenues.

Day 2
Visit the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace, the French aerospace museum located just on the edge of Le Bourget Airport.
OR
Visit the Palais de la Découverte and experience science through a collection of interactive experiences and spectacular demonstrations in the fantastic setting of the Grand Palais.
Then head to the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, the biggest science museum in Europe. Home to a planetarium, a submarine and an IMAX theatre, this interactive museum can’t be missed!
Finish the day with a climb to the top of the Montparnasse Tower for views of this glorious city. The panoramic Observation Desk gives you a unique view that will take your breath away!

Day 3
Visit the Musée National d’Histoire Naturelle, dedicated to natural treasures. This museum has exhibition spaces for you to explore plants, animals, minerals and human beings.
OR
Learn about some different scientists at the Musée Pasteur or the Musée Marie Curie!
Before you leave Paris, take a stroll through the Tuileries Gardens, a leafy paradise nestled in the heart of a bustling city.
Alternative visit: Head to the Exploradome, an interactive museum where you can try out lots of different scientific experiments. Discover all about science, multimedia and sustainable development.
Travel back to the UK.
