Overview

Where better to inspire your budding linguists than the spectacular Middle Rhine Valley?  This picturesque stretch of the River Rhine is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre, dotted with fairy-tale castles.

There’s a variety of rewarding cultural activities on offer here, including a guided tour of Burg Eltz, a ride on the Boppard chairlift, a river cruise to the singing Loreley rock, and the unique Siegfrieds mechanisches Musikkabinett.  For thrill-seekers, Phantasialand theme park is a great way to round off the trip!

Our Suggested Itinerary

Travelling by coach.

  1. Day 1

    Travel overnight by coach to Germany.

    Arrive in Boppard, freshen up at your accommodation and explore the town’s main sights.

    That afternoon, take a scenic ride on the Boppard chairlift and take in the views from above!

  2. Day 2

    In the morning, take a guided tour of Burg Eltz, a medieval castle perched high above the Moselle river.

    Later, step back in time in the half-timbered streets of Cochem.

  3. Day 3

    Spend the morning experiencing city life in the Rhineland with a day trip to Cologne or Koblenz.

    You can even add on a river cruise to the Loreley or Rüdesheim!

  4. Day 4

    Round off your trip with an unforgettable day at Phantasialand theme park.

  5. Day 5

    Begin your return journey to school.

We use safe and secure accommodation especially suited to schools.  For our Black Forest and Rhineland trips, we usually use the German Youth Hostel Association (DJH) which have ideal facilities for schools.  All accommodation we use is audited, and our auditing regime is verified by independent experts.
